As for the water itself, it's not where the bacteria are found in in fish tank but in the solid surfaces in the aquarium such as decorations, plants, gravel, rocks and filter media.

I would always go for a community fish tank always and its simply because I have a thing for variety when it comes to fishes in my pond. When it's just a single specie, it gets boring for me easily.
When you look at the cost of running a fresh water fish tanks compared to others, you will find out that's less expensive to manage and it kind of suits the fish breed I want better.
I find their feeding sessions a perfect time for me to catch the fishes I want. It lures them out and make it easy for me to pick them up, although it gets messy sometimes because they would be swarming up.
