With all of the different types of algae, and tons of either DIY, stock bought bottles, or manually scrubbing it away, how do you take care of the algae in your aquarium? Do you treat the various types of algae all of the same until it hits a certain point (ex; it starts to take over or become a huge eyesore)?

I either will clean it off by hand, unless it just keeps coming back and then I'll buy some type of algae eating fish since it will provide them some food (but I still feed them pellets or wafers at night).
