I have never heard of Lucky Bamboo. I'm glad that you've mentioned this because now I'm extremely curious about it. I may end up buying one for my tank because these look extremely neat and have several benefits to using them. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I have purposely attempted to grow Algae. I own Sea Monkeys, hybrid brine shrimp, and they feed off of Algae, so it is a complete necessity for me to grow it.

Back in the late 1950s, a scientist had spliced some DNA and formed a hybrid type of brine shrimp called Sea Monkeys. As of today, sea monkeys can still be ordered online through various retailers for about $10-20 per kit. I purchased a couple of kits around a month or two ago, and I have one kit that has flourished. As a matter of fact, one of my adult female sea monkeys just finished giving birth and now I have a ton of little Sea Monkeys swimming around in the tank. Have any of you ever had Sea Monkeys? If not, you should definitely give them a try. They're neat little creatures.

Unfortunately, I do not own a pond. I currently own 14 acres of land, and we used to have a couple of big ponds in the field for cows and other animals we used to own. However, over the years, the pond has drained and is no longer active. Maybe one day in the future I will be able to get the pond up and working again, but without any type of livestock, it is difficult to keep a natural pond.

When it comes to my tank and how much water I add, I normally do fill the tank up a little over 3/4 of the way. I know that water evaporates and I will have to add more water eventually, but I normally try to keep the water around the same amount at all times.
