I mostly just use whatever came with my filter, and use the same brand as replacements since I know they fit.

Pool filter sand seems like a steal, $7 for a 50lb bag. Any ideas on what brand of pool filter is better or are they all basically the same?

I’ve seen these at some local stores and they really seem cool but pricey. Curious on if they make the fish have a more natural behavior compared to just the regular lighting being the same every day?

Thank you all! I’ll try to pick one off and get a closer photo. In the tank are a bunch of snails and other fish so it could be either from my understanding.

I was going to take this wood out of this tank to use in mine but I'm not sure if I should..are these snail eggs or fish eggs or just random bumps in the wood?

Do you want to keep any algae growing in this alive? Or do you want to ideally keep it tamed down where it's growing but not like endlessly growing (does that make sense)?

I was actually going to use Mollies as my first fish for my saltwater tank, since they are cheap and will help me learn through the whole hobby.

Are these worth it inside of saltwater tanks as they are in freshwater tanks? Does it really catch that many particles from algae to parasites, or is it more harming since some algae and particles are healthy for live rocks and corals (in the future)?
