It seems that water lettuce reduces algae blooms by blocking sunlight in the water. Also they can get huge and invade in the aquarium. Has anyone tried keeping it in your tank?

Jungle Vallisneria is a wonderful background plant especially for large planted tanks. These look fabulous with fish like neon tetras. Vallisneria grows rapidly, so the suggested tank size is atleast 20 gallons.

These are great plants to bring colour to planted tank. But these are not for beginners since they need constant CO2 supplements to stabalize in a tank. When it is exposed to more light and iron, the red or purple colour develops.

Temperature play a important role in the growth of aquarium plants since metabolism is affected by the temperature but the needs of specific fish can vary. So temperature check is important especially when our climatic conditions also changes.

I would also advise not to place angelfish with goldfish because they have drastic differences in water parameters. Whereas, angelfish will get along with acara.

Not all fish tank water can go on houseplants and garden plants. But I haven't tried it yet. I may not take a chance I suppose.

Start with guppies. Am sure you will love it. Also, make sure to add plenty of rocks and plants to provide enrichment for the fish.

Smells like soil and plant leaves. Mostly it is just the smell of water.

It isn't hard though but you need to do research and have commitment. You can start off with 5-20 gallon tank. Also make sure to introduce 2- 3 fish initially.
