Wow, that is really traumatic and terrible!

No; I wouldn't find everything I wanted that way.
k and the fish would get a little scared and would bite.
What types of fish were biting you?
The feeding frequency varies depending on the species for me, but I do try to keep on a regular schedule so that I don’t forget.
I always see clownfish being highly recommend to those starting out, since they tend to be unforgiving
They are recommended, but also unforgiving? I think I might be reading this incorrectly.
I wish I could to keep things simple, but it’s never worked out to use just one company, no.
That is a good question, although the first outbreak that caused this has disappeared - there is still a notice to be aware of in your tank or others since these are tiny at first until they reach a big population. I don't recall if Petsmart or Petco sell these anymore since I haven't seen any in my local stores (but haven't visited the hub in my region yet to check) - but I will let you know once I visit if they have these, or they all got destroyed due to the bad press and actual issues caused to states by this.
Good to hear a follow-up on this!
To clarify, I fill may tank up “full,” but not all the way to the brim.
Funny, this is just the information I was looking for after reading the thread about the bare bottom tank.
I regretted buying some shrimp that bred out of control.
Do fish feel emotions toward humans?
I too started my first fish tank in the same manner. I did not have any clue how to care for the fish or clean the tank. I was under the impression that just feeding the fishes was enough. One day I was just gazing at the fishes and it dawned upon me that there was something seriously wrong with the way I was treating these poor little things and I started my research and now I know the best way to care for my fishes and my fish tank has become the object of everyone's envy.
For some reason a lot of us grow up with the impression from media or other people that fish are extremely casual pets, so alas, a lot of us only learn through hard experience just how much care and attention they need. At least you learned though!
This is a really good point, something I did not consider!
Yeah, this would be bad to water plants with and later eat. Thanks for pointing this out as I would not have otherwise even thought about this!
I wouldn’t have thought of this either; really good point.
Can i put electric blue acara with ranchu goldfish and angelfish? I dont want the acara eating my goldfish...
Did you end up getting different tanks for them?
Usually a couple of weeks, but I have heard of it taking a few months in extreme cases.
I wouldn’t chance that; just get an automatic feeder for them.
I tend to do things based on routine, so I never actually thought to mix them, but it seems like something worth trying.
Durability is the reason why I tend to choose acrylic for my tanks.
