Do you acclimate any of the corals that you have purchased? I normally have just made sure the temperature matches between the two (the bag with the coral(s) and the tank they will be placed in).

Always - I don’t care if I just bought a new coral from their display coral section only, it’s honestly the one way to make sure you have 0 pests that enter in. Same said for live plants in freshwater, the pest may not be on some plants but could be on a vast majority - you just never will know or have any idea.

Has anyone else ran into this? You find a really good looking piece of coral that you want in a display tank and ask, but they say it’s not for sale.

Pretty thick silicone tubing, since it’s easy to bend, see through if you get a clear-ish color, and allows you to not have to preplan too much on building a maze of PVC

How many different kinds of food do you have for your species? Do you feel them just a handful of different food types, or is it larger than that?

Metal, easy to make sure it doesn’t peel up like the cheap particleboard stands do if you get a single drop of water on them.

What is a good way besides boiling the wood in water, to clean up ocean based driftwood on a shoreline? Anything specific to look out for that would be bad like parasites, salt being soaked into the wood, etc?

I repeat, NOT my tank - but I looked online everywhere and can’t seem to find any solid answers. My friends Africans dwarf frog is missing the webbed aspect of its front right hand, and I’m not sure if this is from genetics, or if it’s the start of the common red leg/arm infection I keep seeing, or if it got possibly bit off (but not the hand itself or fingers)?

100% agree, that bottled fish safe water is a scam. It’s just drinking water in a overpriced bottle.

Have any of gig had fiddler crabs before? I keep seeing them at my local store and I’m not sure everyone knows their care requirements. Like them actually being brackish, and needing to fully escape water to live, or better yet that they need sand vs. gravel or pebbles due to their legs

Snails work, some shrimp as noted too would be good. Tank seems too small though for any decently sized algae eater fish

I’ve only had the random snail, or snail eggs appear and hatch after a quick vinegar bath.
-
I do not, no. Too much time to be honest
-
I’d say 6 months at minimum dependent on their diet and tank setup. Ideally around 8 months to prevent any issues from showing up (bad genetics, for example).
-
Last I checked the fish they would put in there would either later be taken out after the video was done, or they would pretty much all do poorly since their acclimation method and species selections were poor for the tanks they had them in.
-
Probably would have done the piping differently, also would have hidden some of the overflow aspects into the decorations better rather than having them visible in the background.
-
What is your overflow prevention method, and is it something you did via DIY method or did you buy a kit for your sump in order to have it included for ease? If it’s diy let’s see them photos!

Looks like that 30% sale was just an intermittent sale possibly? It’s back at 50% now again even with this horrible inflation we have going on.

I’ve always used substrate in my main display tanks, the only time I don’t use any substrate is for quarantine tanks since if you are dosing medicine, you really don’t want to keep throwing away the substrate or washing it throughly everytime.

I want to say that mine was possibly a 40 gallon breeder tank since I thought I’d need all of the space for corals/decorations, when in all reality without a good coral/frag/rock setup, it doesn’t matter too much length wise.
