They would rarely ask for food when I would approach the tank. Now every time I come up they get excited and think it's feeding time

I prefer owing fish more than amphibian. The reason is they look scary and you need a big tank in order to keep them

How's the water flow in there? I think Highlander wants to sail away, sail away, sail away.
Significantly reduced haha I re drilled all of the outflow holes to more than double the area. There is still flow but more river flow like vs Jacuzzi haha still get good mixing while not blasting the fish.

I don't know but 240g seems a tad bit small for that 1 cory.
If it wasnt such a bummer it would be pretty comical watching Highlander root around in the grass all by himself.

Whats your floor and foundation like? Over time that much weight could cause additional settling.
This is sitting right next to a steel reinforced beam and every joist has been carbon fiber reinforced.

Wood is perfect but stuck to a realistic biotope. Guess what i always struggle to fix this thing
I struggle with this as well, glad you think I've succeeded. I always think I can do better on acjieving that realistic aquascape, definitely a challenge.

I would love amano shrimp, but substrate comes in shrimp substrate and normal substrate, i have the normal one in my tank already. Is that a problem when having shrimp?

Shark constantly have to keep swimming to keep water passing over their gills.sharks need many things, including a certain shaped tank to allow for this glide pattern. For human its hard to keep this all things up
Juvenile sharks have to do the same? They have to keep swimming from birth?
