For those who started with freshwater and transitioned into saltwater later, what was the hardest part about the transition?

What is the most exotic creature you’ve ever taken care of in your aquarium?
-
I don’t know. I usually avoid this kind of thing, but I might be paranoid.

I have a generator for exactly this reason. Power cuts are very common where I live.

I live in a rural area that gets a ton of rainfall, so I do this, and it has worked out great.

I’ve seen these in stores in bags, but have heard mixed reviews. Have you used this and what is your story? Worth the money for the timeframe it works or a total waste of money?
I've never used one. Did you decide to try it?

I have a black one that is double sided to be dark blue.
I have a similar one. It makes for a nice, clean look, and not tacky like the ones with images.

Yeah, you need the per-shelf capacity.

Favia corals are my favorites to keep, what about you?

Sometimes I feed my Ricordea, but usually my corals seem to take care of themselves pretty well.

What based on your experiences is the hardest type of fish to keep alive, and what makes it so?

I’ve always loved everything to do with the ocean and how alien the life there is. So, I wanted to have a little piece of it.

Bought mine locally, so I have no idea.

Thought I replied to this. Anyway, bigger is easier to work with.

I 100% always plan any layout I’m doing. From where the rocks are going, what type of substrate and where, to even specifics on hiding spots or the requirements for the fish or invertebrates that I’m going to keep.

Do you ever end up diverging from your plans?

I'm not sure. Mine's acrylic. It helps with insulation, and I like that it is more durable.

Always, but I budget everything.
