Do you use multiple types of filters on your bigger tanks?

    In some of your bigger tanks, do you tend to have multiple different types of filters, or do you just use one specific one? For example, an internal filter and a canister filter, or a hang on the back and canister, or even a canister and sponge filter or powerhead to make sure that water moves around evenly.

    I tend to use multiple - normally a canister or two (or a sump), and if it’s a large tank, a protein/surface skimmer (yeah even on freshwater tanks) to get rid of any extra things that are floating.
