Do you guys have any videos or tutorials on this? I know it uses sand and a pump of some type to make this affect, but worried if I make the intake too big it might suck in snails or shrimp who might walk over it

Do you keep any animals or plants inside of yours? If so how do you have it laid out where the animals don’t accidentally have a leap into the next section?

What are some of the big chain or even local stores in your area that do water parameter testing for saltwater related tanks? Do they charge you or is it free like how they do it with freshwater tanks?
-
I think the issue with saltwater fish already being not that commercially great yet, and the fact that many species are picked from the ocean still - it would look horrible to add the colorations to some and then having to teach people on how to handle saltwater in general when it’s not as close to being easy like freshwater is.

Since I know this happens to a bunch of us, how do you handle when you get bored of either dealing with the tank or the appearance of it?

I’ve used one for my bigger tank and has a few dead spots in terms of the water movement on the surface. I think Fluval has a internal filter with the protein skimmer at the top, which is what I’d recommend for a standalone unit.

I know a bunch of stores froze over in their tanks and some of the cold water fish made it, but many of the tropical ones did not sadly.

Saw this on your Facebook page! Definitely entering!

Even looking at people who own tanks with fish that aren’t that deadly, they ALWAYS wear gloves so I will say yes.

Has anyone tried that candle trick that can use a pot or rocks to keep things hot? It might sound bad but possibly warming up river rocks and then placing them into the tank in order to keep it warm (and not having the rocks too hot it boils the water or overheats it).

I mostly just use a soft sponge to wipe the glass on the inside, and then maybe a gravel vacuum (if I have gravel) or using snails if I have sand to clean/mix all of that up.

Yes, normally try to grow out some green algae to use as food for fry or to allow for other fish/invertebrates to get a nice food source.

Looking for some driftwood sellers in order to buy some pieces. Please attach photos of what you would ship out since I’m praying to find pieces that I can make a design with and want to see their size.
-
I think my answer would be “Attached” since they are attached vis clips that hold it on the tank’s rim/trim as well.

Sadly I’ve ran into a few diseases that have done this, seemingly out of nowhere too. How did you handle it and what did you do to prevent it from killing anything else you added into the tank? I for one bleached the HECK outta my tanks that had this and then kept rinsing them out with vinegar and water.

Since everyone has their own method (using medicine with copper in it for example or bleach), what is your method and how effective has it been this far?

I used to have a small aquarium case at my home with some small fishes, when I was just like 12.
After two years or so, thanks to the small fishes, so many little fishes were born and they were just the cutest beings according to me.
But, that didn't last long. They disappeared just like that.
Seems like they made a great appetizer for those big fishes. Did you guys ever experienced this? Feel free to share your sad memories here for others to see what happened and try to learn from it.

I’ve tried to play a few but they become so stupidly unrealistic it kind of takes the fun out.
Last real one I thought was almost spot on was Zoo Tycoon with their Marine Life Expansion Pack.

Like the question says I’m curious on which way you place the heater inside of your tanks.
