Fiddler Crabs

    Do any of you own any fiddler crabs, and if so, what is your setup for them? I’m debating on getting some but can’t think of a good mixed land/water setup, especially one that fits their requirement for some salt in the water (brackish).

    I’ve owned them once or twice, they can be really fun but the issue is that many stores keep them in pure freshwater which isn’t good for them. Also make sure that you cover every single hole since they are escape artists, and they do need a place with land so they can escape the water fully.

    I’ve never owned any, but I know this about them, hahah. I imagine they could be a bit of a hassle for that reason, but entertaining.

    They are amazing creatures and I have wanted some for a few years but they are surprisingly hard to find these days. I think you can find them online but I am not sure how I feel about buying animals online.
