Saltwater pearling normal after a water change?

    Hey guys!

    This is for my dad who has a 90 gallon tank. He’s recently went from FOWLR to a tank with a 2 gorgonians and some macro algae and a few corals. For the past week, insane amounts of pearling have gone in after doing a normal water change.

    The question, is this normal? Do any of you see this?

    Pearling after a water change can be normal in tanks with lots of photosynthetic organisms like algae or corals. When dissolved gases are replaced, rapid photosynthesis can cause oxygen bubbles, leading to pearling. Make sure your tank parameters and gas exchange are optimal.
